Well there is kind of "live management bonus" in terms that you can change your tactics or formation during the game to counter opposition's strengths and explore their weaknesses.
Other than that, you can make subs, which is important when one of your players picks up an injury, as (if I recall correctly) game doesn't automatically replaces injured players. Also, making substitutions is important as players' overall drops when their fitness lowers, so if you can sub a player for a fit player with similar ratings, you can have advantage in the later parts of the game. Also, subs can be used to drastically change your tactics (and of course formation), so you could surprise opponent in that regard. It helps to have players that can play in multiple positions, as it gives you more flexibility. For example, all my attackers play as a side attacker and central attacker, so I'm able to change during the course of the game depending on where opponent' defense is weakest, and I can change tactics accordingly (attacking on flanks or through the middle).

Seems your live replacements and tactics not give any luck...

Rates blocked the way of glory of weak team.
Only bullies winning the game as I can see in my first attempts...
He's got 50-70 rates overal and my team tries to find possibilities but gives no chances to 20-30 rates.
Gaps are too high to keep up with for beginner's.

So here's the example of what I mean.

Also weather conditions and audiences are not counted or we cannot see effects of it... (I donno if there is anything about that.)

Funny you brought up my cup game, because I'm not interested in that competition as I know there is no way I'll ever win it. And just in case you think that this confirms your point, there is no way that Sheffield United could beat Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Manchester clubs, Liverpool or whoever in succession (no disrespect to Sheffield). So I usually play early stages of cup in my second eleven and if I go out, than fine.
Odd results can always happen, but you can't expect Leyton Orient to create more chances than Crystal Palace in a match played with their best eleven.

Yes, there is no way (I think) that a team with average rating of 20 can beat a team with average rating of 60 or above, but I've had some draws and even defeats against much lower rated teams in friendlies (not much recently though). Sometimes a gulf in quality is simply too big and there is no way you can compensate it, at least not without improving your squad with some quality players.

OK there is no way to win over the bigger teams.
But consentration and more training maybe effective with that luck.
So I will be glad if the game masters add morality, consentration and luck effects to the game which is not standing with rich teams only and made objective result by players.
So surprise us with that powerful team beaten by new managers and new players. Not like 0.001 - 0.009 chances to make scores...
Hope this is not betting game. I think it can be made more realistic and exciting with upgrades...
